An Indian weekend

Some of the Bridgewater Babes after our performance

The Friday night Belly Dance Amethyst Hafla was a great night of dance and good company. Thanks to Myra for hosting another lovely evening.

There were a number of Oriental and Indian Fusion performances on the night and the Bridgwater Babes version of Chaiyya Chaiyya was no exception. Thanks ladies for performing so beautifully – it was great to dance with you – including Kathy & Heather who couldn’t make it but danced with us in spirit!

Saturday evening brought another Indian themed show with a Bollywood Birthday party for Lulu. Lulu looked gorgeous dressed up as a Bollywood princess. The girls learned a choreography to Ik Lara and did a great job of performing it for Lulu’s parents.

As the year comes to an end, it’s time to wrap up a great term of belly dance with the Belly Dance Amethyst Hafla at the Hungarian Hall this Friday night from 7pm.

Come along for a great night of entertainment and good company. Tickets $20 at the door.

And Saturday brings my last performance for the year in a Bollywood Birthday Party at Glenelg.

Jillina in town

Gypsy Twist

It was fantastic to dance with Gypsy Twist – the Belly Dance Amethyst teacher troupe – at the Jillina Bellydance Evolution show last weekend. And to have that followed with 3 days of intensive workshops with the fabulous Jillina was just amazing!

Thanks to the wonderful Myra, Christine, Danni & Sharlene for dancing with me, to Keke & Bibiana for the wonderful job they did in organising an incredible weekend…and to Jillina for being such a great and giving teacher.

Quite an adventure…

Thanks to Elisa, Jema & Erika for putting on a great show – well 2 actually – at the nursing home yesterday. I had a great time performing with you.

You were beautiful and added some joy and colour to the residents’ day. Much appreciated by me, the staff & the residents (mostly!!!).

Loved the solos too, Elisa!!
