It was lovely to have the opportunity to dance at Roxanne’s bridal shower on the weekend.
The Bali hut was a nice backdrop for the performance and the women at the party really got into the spirit of the show. After performing for them, I got Roxanne up to dance. She was a natural and especially seemed to love dancing with a veil.
Before long the other guests were draped in hip scarves and were shimmying and dancing along, too. It was a great way to share an afternoon with friends & family
Alana’s birthday party
After lovely afternoon at Alana’s birthday party, I was invited to be a living library resource at Reynella Primary School.
It was great fun having the kids come into the library to borrow a living resource for their classrooms. The kids loved learning some basic belly dance moves and having the chance to be photographed trying out some of the props used in belly dance. The boys especially loved balancing the swords!
Yesterday brought the opportunity for a very different kind of performance.
I was lucky enough to be asked perform with the Uraidla Concert Band at the Strathalbyn Bands Festival and danced to their finale, “Caravan”, as a surprise addition to their performance.
It was fantastic to dance with live music and great fun to part of their event. Hopefully a pic or two to come soon…
