Transcendance 2015

Velvet Caravan made the trek to Geelong for Transcendance 2015, a fantastic weekend of dance workshops, performances and other dance related indulgence created and hosted by Ma’isah.

Having the chance to learn from dancers and teachers including Anandha Ray, Xaeda Raqasa and Zoe Berry in such a beautiful setting was a great experience in itself. And then to be part of the performance with the gorgeous ladies of Velvet Caravan in the amazing and eclectic show on Saturday night was something else!

Spring Hafla

Celebrating end of term a week early, the Belly Dance Amethyst Spring Hafla was held at the Hungarian Club in Norwood.

Thanks to Myra and all the Belly Dance Amethyst community for a lovely night.

And a special thank you to the Bridgewater Ladies who could be there on the night – including Marlene who was injured and couldn’t dance but was there to lend support to the rest.

Winter Hafla 2015

The Belly Dance Amethyst winter hafla was held on the 4th of July and as always it was a lovely night with great dancing, good company and fun had by all.

It’s Almost Term 2

After a busy Term 1, the Bridgewater Belly Dancers did a great job (as always) in their performances at the end of term Hafla at the Hungarian Hall in Norwood – I’m very proud of you ladies.

And after our holiday break, term 2 starts next week at Belly Dance Amethyst. New dancers are very welcome at the beginners class at 8pm on Thursday nights. There’s also the open level class at 7pm on Thursday nights, too, for those with some dancing experience. We would love to see you there.
