Looking forward to performing with the Bridgewater Belly Dancers at the Jewish Community Seniors Bagels lunch at the at the Beit Shalom Synagogue today.
Performances…
The new dance term has started with a bang: classes started again last Thursday with a new intermediate fusion class from 8-9 pm adding to the regular 7-8pm class.
The kids at Linden Park Primary vacation care celebrated the end of the school holidays with a belly dance bop workshop. They had a great time and especially loved dancing with the veils.
Some of the Bridgewater Babes will be doing a nursing home performance with me tomorrow which should be great fun – for us and the residents. And then Sunday we’ll be performing along with some of the other Belly Dance Amethyst performers at the Mylor fair.
September Hafla
A big congratulations to all the dancers who performed at the Belly Dance Amethyst Hafla last weekend. Everybody looked beautiful and there was a great range of styles performed on the night, ranging from a tribal version of AC/DCs Hell’s Bells to a gorgeous Indian fusion with Velvet Caravan to an exotic voi by Claire, along with stunning gothic sword by Babylonia, Balkan fusion, cabaret and more!
And I wanted to give a special thank you to the Beautiful Bridgewater Babes who were there to perform on the night. You all made me so proud! And I think you looked gorgeous in the masquerade masks and billowing veils. You all did a fab job!
A weekend of dance
Saturday afternoon the Jewels of Isis performed at “Jariel’s Belly Dance Extravaganza” fundraiser along with a number of other Adelaide dancers. It was a lovely afternoon for a good cause.
A hen’s party for beautiful Marie was a very special event on Sunday afternoon at the Belly Dance Amethyst studio. The ladies were a lovely audience for the performance and then they dressed up and became performers themselves. After learning a few moves and learning a choreography they all got into the spirit and danced the afternoon away.
