Harem Show – September 30th

The Bellydance AmethystThe Bridgwater ladies performing with veils end of term Harem Show is coming up at the end of September.

Keep Friday night the 30th of September free for the Harem show at the Hungarian Hall, Norwood.

The Thursday night class are putting the finishing touches on their choreography for the show – a beautiful floaty veil intro which morphs into an energetic drum solo.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Bridgewater Bellydance Class News

While we’re just settling into Term 3 and getting our teeth into the choreography for this term, it’s already time to start thinking about Term 4.

The class is progressing really fast…and we’ve also had quite a few members join us along the way, so next term we’re looking at holding two classes on a Thursday night.

The 7-8pm class will be a beginners/progressive beginners class focussing on basic techniques and combining them into a fun choreography. The 8-9pm class will cater to more experienced dancers (at a progressive beginners/intermediate level) and will look at other elements of bellydance, with a fusion choreography next term.

Performances & parties

A good night was had by all at Stephanie’s 9th birthday party at the Lady Daly Hotel last night. After my performance, the birthday girl and her friends all got dressed up and learned to belly dance, learning a choreography and looking gorgeous doing veil dancing.

A rock and roll night at the Avant Garde Function Centre was the setting for Velvet Caravan’s performance last weekend. The audience really got into watching us dance to AC/DCs Hells Bells!
