Term 1 – it’s not to late to join up!

IMG_5730bTerm 1 has started at Belly Dance Amethyst Bridgewater, but it’s not too late to join up now.

If you’re keen to try Belly Dancing why not come to the beginners class at 8pm Thursday nights at Bridgewater Hall. This term we’re doing an Egyptian Pop choreography.

Or if you’ve had some dance experience and would like to try something a little different, the 7pm Thursday night class is a theatrical-circus fusion.

It would be great to see you there.

Last minute Xmas gift…

If you’re looking for something special for Christmas – what about a beginners term of belly dance classes at Belly Dance Amethyst! for someone you love.

A great way for them to have fun, get fit and explore their inner Goddess.

Only $55 for a treat that will last well past the holidays!

A Weekend of Dance

The dancing (and partying) started with Spooky and Creepy 3, Belly Dance Amethyst‘s pirate themed Halloween party, on Saturday evening at the Soul Box.  With the very entertaining and imaginative Halloween themed dances and a few kegs of pirate rum (or  champagne & red wine) a good time was had by all.

Sunday morning brought a completely different dance adventure for the Bridgewater Dancers with our Indian fusion performance at the Callington show.

October Performances

Performing at the Empress Nursing Home

Performing at the Empress Nursing Home

Despite the heat it was yesterday’s performance at the Empress Nursing Home went well and had a great reaction from the audience.

Thanks to Suzanne and Erika from the Bridgewater Belly Dancers for performing with me. It was great to have you both there. Suzanne’s energetic Balkan fusion was impressive in the head and was a hit with the crowd. And thanks also to Sandra for dancing her two beautiful solos.

There are two more performances coming up this week on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday night is the annual Belly Dance Amethyst “Spooky and Creepy” Halloween party at the Soul Box for students and friends. Anna, Jenny and I will be debuting our vampirates number on the night.

For a change of pace, a group of the Bridgewater Belly Dancers will be doing some Indian Fusion dances at the Callington show on Sunday. Hope to see you there!
